This plan fails every time. I suggest change Arcane Explosion until HP<1665 to <1770. Then add in a moon fire from your Sprite after Chrominius dies.

My H/H Direhorn Runt can very nearly solo this fight. I originally ran this strat with him and two rabbits as backup and it worked that way too.

Scuse you. Bitey McStabface is the true name of our lord and savior.
I think this strat should be labeled as RNG. I tested it 5 times and it worked 3 of those times. The two times it failed, are because Retinus managed to crit the second pet. When it crits the second pet, everything goes wrong. If it doesn't crit however, the strat works perfectly.

Worked fine last few weeks, this week 0 for 6 now. Sucks being 2nd to last boss and having to do it all over again.
This strat works really well. :) I did get crit by Nightmare on Ikky at one point, but as long as you're not unlucky enough to get crit by Nightmare *and* the Chaos Beam, you should be fine. - - I was curious, so I looked at some power/alternative moves on the pets in slot 2. - - For dragonkin pets with <276 power and Breath, you'll need 3 Breaths (if you don't get a crit) to finish Retinus off. - - Tail Sweep guarantees, even at 260 power, that you'll only ... You don't have to put a change for each pet, putting change(next) at the bottom works for all pets: - - ability(Curse of Doom:218) - ability(Haunt:652) - ability(Explode:282) - ability(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists] - ability(Flock:581) - ability(#1) - change(next)
This strategy does have a chance to fail. Of the ten times I ran it, I had 3 failures because Ikky either died before it could Flock, and/or did not last long enough for the UBV to resurrect once Haunt ticked down. So, there is some RNG involved.

The Bronze Dragonflight is once again calling on the heroes of Azeroth to help repair the timestreams, and prevent catastrophic changes from happening. Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t collect a few pets along the way!

It may not seem obvious at a glance, but the Burning Crusade timewalking vendor does sell pets, or rather the chance for pets to drop. When you visit Cupri in the middle of Shattrath on the second floor of the Terrace of Light, you’ll see she has Bag of Fishing Treasure for 150 Timewarped Badges. This bag has the chance for four adorable baby crocolisks to drop:

  • Chuck
  • Muckbreath
  • Snarly
  • Toothy


Now, if you’re looking to save your Timewarped Badges for other items, these pets can still be collected in two other ways: the auction house, and a fishing daily from the Burning Crusade expansion.

If you also want to keep your gold in pocket, you can park an alt next to Old Man Barlo and keep an eye out for the daily quest: Crocolisks in the City. Old Man Barlo can be found northeast of Shattrath at the Slimyr Lake in Terrokar Forest, at the coordinates 38.6, 12.8 . As far as can be seen, this is the only daily of his five that contains the crocolisks as part of the loot table.


Of course, the timewalking pets don’t stop there!

The heroic dungeon Magisters’ Terrace also has a chance for the Phoenix Hatchling pet to drop from Kael’thas Sunstrider.

And the Black Temple timewalking raid will also drop pets from all their respective bosses.

  • High Warlord Naj'entus -- Leviathan Hatchling

  • Supremus -- Abyssius

  • Reliquary of the Lost -- Fragment of Anger, Fragment of Desire, or the Fragment of Suffering

  • Mother Shahraz -- Sister of Temptation



As a lovely little bonus, all the raid pets count toward the pet collection achievement – Raiding with Leashes III : Drinkin’ from the Sunwell, which rewards the non-battling pet K’ute.

Every pet listed above—aside from K’ute—is also cageable. So, if you don't want to add a duplicate to your collection you can put them up on your Auction House, or gift them to a friend in need. It’s entirely up to you!

A little update made it to the frontpage right now with a couple of changes and new additions:

  • No more split between "small" and "large" news. There are just news. Right here in this column.
  • The side panels or menu items can be rearranged to your liking now! Only if you are logged in though. Just use the little arrows and push the ones you use the most often to the top :-)
  • A few new side panels appeared! Among them a leaderboard showing the Xu-Fu users with the top 25 collections for each region (based on unique pets collected).

Love is in the Air

You walk into the capital then stop dead in your tracks. Hearts of pink, red, and white litter every possible surface of the buildings, and a not so subtle aroma clings to the air with a persistence that leaves you lightheaded. Coy glances and breathy laughter follow you through the city as you go about your errands, while you try not to think too hard about what force in nature decided it was a good idea to give a goblin wings, and the power to bestow love on unsuspecting passerby. Business complete, you manage to dodge not one, but two well-meaning celebrants who espouse their eternal love for you, and avoid eye contact with Kwee Q. Peddlefeet. Once you make it out of the city you breathe a sigh of relief. You'd rather face down a horde of murlocs than go through that again, because there's one thing you know for sure: love is many things, and terrifying is one of them.



Ah, Love is in the Air, both literally and figuratively, as Azeroth's version of Valentine's Day has made its appearance in the capital cities! This is a two week event that comes at the end of the Lunar Festival, and offers three holiday pets for those of us in the pet community: Lovebird Hatchling, Peddlefeet, & Toxic Wasteling.


Vendor

The Lovebird Hatchling and the Peddlefeet can be purchased from the Lovely Merchant for 40 Love Tokens each. Love Tokens are the Love is in the Air holiday currency, and can be collected through holiday event dailies offered in the capital cities.





Dungeon Drop

The third pet, Toxic Wasteling, is a drop from the Heart-Shaped Box, which you get for killing the boss Apothecary Hummel in the holiday dungeon The Crown Chemical Co.. This box is only available once per day, on (currently) players 110 or higher.





If you don't have the time to farm up tokens, or you're just not getting that dungeon drop, not to worry! All three of these pets are cageable, so keep an eye on your AH for these lovely additions to your roster.
