However, Legion pet trainers can also be fought at any time and STILL give tremendous XP. So when I saw this one up, conveniently situated in Dalaran, I wanted to make a nice carry strategy. The goal is to use the Harmonious Porcupette to help the Empowered Manafiend do as much damage to the enemy backline pets as possible while the low-DPS, single-targeting Itchy is active. Only rarely does Salty Bird not die to this, and sometimes even Grommet dies to the backline onslaught. It's like clockwork--you almost always get three cycles of Amplify Magic, Flux, Arcane Explosion. If Itchy gets a crit, you may be below 153 health on the third cycle, in which case you want to forego Amplify Magic as you won't get two more rounds to DPS. The Empowered Manafiend dies in a timely way, letting the carry pet see the front line, and Claw is then the best choice for killing Grommet.	Level 1+	2	0.0	1	152 2:32	18+

The 2nd pet just needs to have a decent non dot damage skill in the first slot that is not undead or aquatic and have either a high damage or interrupt for the skills in 2nd and/or 3rd slot.

Tested with Brilliant spore, Barnaby, Zanj'ir poker, netherspace abyssal, death adder hatchling, so far. They do need to be over 276 speed to be able to beat out grommet.

The imps can die to salty bird due to the high crit it gets. it has happened to me 2 times out the 20 attempts i made.

To be on the safe side Leveling Pet must have over 200 HP to survive two hits of Cyclone in the back line (300 HP if both crit). Dragonkin pets will survive every time as they get 50% less dmg from this ability but aquatic pet need 50% more HP.

Worth noting about the Ghastly Rat alternative... I would NOT recommend the HS breed for this strat. While it will finish the fight just fine, it slows the fight down by about 10 seconds due to the fact 260 power isn't enough to kill Grommet with Ghostly Bite without crits. He survives with about 5 hp left, leaving you stunned and taking a few more actions to clean up. The other breeds should perform exactly like the Revenant does. (edited)

Nice fast fight about 1:37 when I use script. Only had 1 loss in 37 fights so far, not sure what went wrong for that one (I was watching Netflix lol) Anyhoo, great fast strategy thanks!

Fight time about 1m 27s with the ghastly rat (speed breed). The speed breed rat still does enough damage for the win but attacks first speeding up the battle a bit. Very good strategy.

The goal is to use the Harmonious Porcupette to help the Empowered Manafiend do as much damage to the enemy backline pets as possible while the low-DPS, single-targeting Itchy is active. Only rarely does Salty Bird not die to this, and sometimes even Grommet dies to the backline onslaught. It's like clockwork--you almost always get three cycles of Amplify Magic, Flux, Arcane Explosion. If Itchy gets a crit, you may be below 153 health on the third cycle, in which case you want to forego Amplify Magic as you won't get two more rounds to DPS.
