The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

I used Eldritch Manafiend in slot 1 and used Surge of Power on first hit instead of pass. Since magic pets cannot loose more than 35% health in a single hit, he would not die and might as well be used.

Can almost solo this with Baa'l. Muder the Innocent, Scorched earth, spam Shadow Flame. He will be down to 2-300 HP before you he dies so just bring any Magic pet to finish him!

Sargonnax wrote on 2019-09-22 17:35:20

You can two pet this fight. Use Netherspace Abyssal. Cast Meteor Strike, then Immolate, then Explode. Switch to Abyssius. Cast Scorched Earth and Meteor Strike. If you have to use Crush once. The immolate killed him for me so I didnt have to.

didi wrote on 2018-03-31 23:32:26

quick magic:
http://www.wowhead.com/npc=128019/watcher#comments:id=2541182

setup:
any magic pet with Arcane Storm (pet level doesnt matter) - i used Erudite Manafiend.
any two pets with Mana Surge and one more attack, i used Arcane Eye and Arcane Gorger.

1. Erudite Manafiend > Arcane Storm > swap to pet#2.
2. pet#2 > Mana Surge > pass (pet dies).
3. pet#3 > Mana Surge > finish with whatever attack you have.

2 pet team Elekk Plushie (x,x,2) & Baa'l (2,2,2) with any pet
Start with elekk =itch 4 stichin
Baa'l comes out= Scorch earth-Murder-darkflame
Swap back to elekk -itch 4 stichin
Baa'l back in- Scorch earth- Murder =win baa'l dies when watcher dies

Manolhs wrote on 2018-11-14 16:19:19

Baa'l (1,2,2) Scorched Earth, Murder the Innocent, Shadowflame almost soloed it!

spearmoore2 wrote on 2018-11-11 13:07:54

had arcane gorger in 1st slot with deflect, follwed rest of strat, ended with gorger at 100% and eye at 68%

Ado wrote on 2018-07-02 01:53:29

I used Blood Boil P/S in first slot and somehow it almost solo'ed it. 2.2.1 Used Blood Boil first.

DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2018-04-27 21:15:23

Like someone else, I used Mana Wyrmling in slot one, then Abyssius just like above, and I only had to use three of it's moves after the Wyrmling.
Mana Wyrmling (1,1,2)
Deflection
Drain Power
Feedback x 4
Deflection
Feedback
Pass (dies)
Abyssius:
Scorched Earth
Meteor Strike
Crush

Worked every time I ran it. :)

Johny24 wrote on 2018-01-22 01:17:35

I used Netherspace Abyssal (x,2,x) as my first pet just to soak damage and then used Explode. After that I used Abyssius as described in this strategy and killed the Watcher. Didn't need third pet.

Khes

wrote on 2018-04-12 09:37:00

took your suggestion, he almost solo'd the fight XD

TheEducator#11115

Actually used a levelling pet in the first slot since he survived the attack. :)
Not many of these strategies that allow that.

Wíz wrote on 2017-11-04 16:54:10

Since I don't have the pets leveled. I tried with;

Minfernal 1/x/2
Oily Slimeling 1/1/2
Shimmering Wyrmling BENCHED

I was so stupid on that try but anyways, here is list what I did included stupid movement;

Extra Plating (I dunno why I clicked it -.-)
Crush
Crush
Explode
Oily Slimeling in -,
Acidic Goo
Corrosion
Ooze Touch

Watcher killed...

Emerald wrote on 2017-12-16 15:08:01

thank you!

Jeack wrote on 2017-11-13 23:31:27

Totally different strat, which uses pets found more commonly in this guide (though minfernal is a pita to get):

Netherspace Abyssal (x,2,x)
Minfernal (2,1,2)
Eldritch Manafiend (x,2,1)

Start Netherspace Abyss, use explode.

Minfernal - immolation, immolate, exlode

Edritch - arcane storm, surge of power

Could probably 2 pet it with any of the above.

Lamiena

wrote on 2017-12-07 15:21:54

Excellent, thank you! Side note, though not verified by myself yet: apparently Minfernal has plenty of spawns nowadays. :)

Lisma wrote on 2017-11-28 15:58:51

Magic Team:
Eldritch Manafiend (P/S) - 1, 2, 2
Erudite Manafiend (H/S) - x, 2, 1
Arcane Gorger (H/H) - x, 1, 1

Eldritch Manafiend:
1 - Arcane Blast
2 - Arcane Blast
3 - Soulrush, you can be lucky stunning Watcher in this turn but it doesn't really matter
4 - Surge of Power
5 - recovering, Eldritch Manafiend dies

Erudite Manafiend:
1 - Arcane Storm
2 - Surge of Power
3 - recovering, Erudite Manafiend dies

Arcane Gorger:
1 - Drain Power
2+ - Mana Surge

Watcher will die here.

Another Magic Team:

Arcrane Gorger x 3 - 1, 1, 1

Use Drain Power and Mana Surge. It doesn't matter what breeds will you use but breeds with more HPs are better of course. I have used S/S, P/B and H/H breeds. This team is less powerfull and more risky than the first one but it works quite good.

Mesoceph

wrote on 2017-12-03 02:16:34

The first strat worked beautifully for me! Only difference was that I used a Felcrazed Wyrm instead of an Arcane Gorger (essentially the same move set and I already had one up to 25). Thanks!

I used Elekk plushie in slot one. The cannon barely scratched him.

Quintette wrote on 2017-09-23 10:20:50

Better still. Put Trunks in 1st slot. He has Ethereal, a dodge that always goes first so he'll dodge the Cannon. After that, proceed with strat above and if things should go pear-shaped and the Eye doesn't kill Watcher, you still have a full health Trunks as back-up.

Kathleene

wrote on 2017-11-05 12:20:23

Trunks in first place is a powerful fighter. Using his Ethereal to dodge the Cannon, then using Headbutt and Smash while Watcher is recovering. Swap him out after that, and he's still plenty strong enough to come back in if needed. Plushie is an excellent idea if you don't have Trunks. Plushie can absorb a couple of Cannons without blinking.

abi wrote on 2017-10-31 04:06:25

I used Shadow with void portal for the first round - he survives.
He is then swapped with Arcane Eye - used drain power and mana surge. I think I got in one focused beam before dying.
After the eye died, I swapped in Abissius - when I swapped him in, there was 1 round left on antaen cannon, so I used meteor strike then scorched earth, and it was done.

Breezie wrote on 2017-10-23 23:43:16

Lvl 25 Blood Boil worked good in 1st slot 1,1,1. (took minor dmg) got Watcher down to less the half health then Abyssius finished job

Cloudia wrote on 2017-09-26 06:34:22

Wild Pets team
1. Lofty Libram 2/2/2 (Hillsbrad Foothills)
2. Jade Ooseling x/1/2 (The Hinterlands)
3. Any magic pet (I used Nordrassil Wisp 1/1/1)

LL
Curse of Doom
Amplify Magic
Shadow Slash x 2
LL dies -> JO comes in
Corrosion
Acidic Goo
Corrosion
(If your JO is still alive apply Acidic Goo)
JO dies -> NWisp
Beam if needed (Watcher died 1-2 times from the DoTs)

Simca wrote on 2017-08-31 04:19:32

Mana Wyrmling should be replaced with 'Any Magic Pet' here (of any level). It does nothing except avoid an attack and then swap. So, instead, just put any other pet there, then pass, then swap out. Casting Deflection does nothing relevant to the fight...
