Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

LMAO! I was disheartened until I saw your comment. I, too, only had a 19 basilisk.

Ended up using 3 bites to finish it off.

My Scalded Basilisk Hatchling was only L19, but we pulled off the battle. I used Sarth's tweak of bringing Basilisk back in after my Anklerender died. Basilisk hit Earseeker twice (as suggested by AutumnSkys), then died to the Cannon. Feline Familiar finished it up handily after that. Thanks, everyone!

Nellq

wrote on 2019-02-17 04:01:58

My Hatchling was also 19 and Uncommon and I didn't bother with the switch but managed to finish the Earseeker while it was Recovering.

Ghoultrain wrote on 2018-11-12 03:01:03

I used a random beast, Zandalari Anklerender(2,1,2) and Vicious Broodling(2,1,1). Super easy. On your last pet, the VB. Make sure to the heal and use burrow on the round before it can use its 1 shot.

KingKid#1467

wrote on 2018-07-16 06:59:50

I used:

Any beast: To die (sic)
Moon Moon (P/P) - 1 1 1
Warpstalker Runt (B/B) - 2 * *

Fight:
1 - Pass (Your beast die, bring moon moon)
2 - Use Moon Tears
3 - Use Howl
4+ - Use Moon Fang until your moon moon dead
1 - Bring your Warpstalker Runt
2+ - Use Blinkstrike until Earseeker dead.

Khes

wrote on 2018-04-12 10:22:30

why wouldn't i leap before the second black claw? takes a LOT of the rng out of the fight and usually ends it without trouble on the first bite

skarpethinn

wrote on 2018-05-18 11:56:02

GREAT suggestion to Leap before the second Black Claw - i was struggling to get this strat to work; Earseeker's second Antaean Cannon comes round on your last pet, so, of course, you lose; but as soon as i moved Leap to before the second Black Claw, i won the very next round.

Telepatra

wrote on 2018-06-04 14:45:12

I lost this fight with the first strat, switched the leap to be before black claw on my own, came and saw this comment. Perfect. This needs to be made the official strat tab 1.

Choppaa

wrote on 2018-06-02 01:34:05

If you don't have ( Scalded Basilisk Hatchling ) like me, then you can put any pet and pass first step letting him die, then use same strategy as above but change step 5 from ( Black Claw ) to ( Leap ), should work with you this way.

Rarebird wrote on 2017-09-22 06:16:32

I used 2x Zandalaris and a random beast.

Start with the random beast to soak the cannon, first Zandalari enters. Black Claw, Hunting Party, Primal Cry then Black Claw again (you die). The 2nd Zandalari enters and finishes the battle with hunting party.

Vàrgas wrote on 2017-09-25 16:06:31

Needed a final leap in there, but it worked. My Anklerender was S/S, might have been the difference.

Ermrac wrote on 2017-09-20 21:31:02

I was having trouble with Feline Familiar dying, so I just switched the order. After Anklerender dies, bring back basilisk to claw and soak the next cannon. Then finish him off with Feline Familiar

Pampoofy wrote on 2017-09-20 22:31:21

Silvanon

Complete this myself with a lvl 19 grey scalded basilisk 1 2 1 , a zandalari anklerender 2 2 2 and a fel pup 1 2 1,

open with scalded, feign death,

fel pup is swapped in , howl, diseased bite x2 , crouch, howl and diseased bite until dead, switch to scalded

use anything, scaled basilik will take the big hit and die,

bring in anklerender for black claw and hunting party for the win

Panoramix

wrote on 2017-11-12 04:57:52

Works!. Good tactic, but Fel pup is: 211 for abilities

Ikol wrote on 2018-01-07 22:12:57

Confirmed, works very well. Viable alternative to above strat. My scalded basilik was also lower level On a side note, the Paraxis came through and hit me when i brought the basilisk in to take the big hit. I was confuised as to how a battle pet took me out for a few seconds. Second try with no Paraxis interference went very well!

Shialnia wrote on 2017-10-03 15:27:07

Scalded Basilisk Hatchling x 2 x
Moon Moon 1 1 1
Feline Familiar 1 x x

1 Feign Death (Moon Moon will be swapped in)
2 Moon Tears
3 Howl
4 Moon Fang until Moon Moon dies (by this time Earseeker should be under 300 health)
bring in Feline Familiar Onyx bite (should only take one to finish Earseeker off, but you should have two hits due to him losing the flying bonus and the familiar then having the faster speed.

Sharria wrote on 2017-10-05 01:10:43

worked well for me and my Scalded Basilisk Hatchling was level 18

Sarth wrote on 2017-10-28 21:22:28

I beg to suggest a little modification.
After Moon Moon dies, bring Basilisk back instead.
Pass untill it is killed by cannon
THEN Bring Familiar
Prowl + Onyx Bite.
This should prevent any retard RNG on this.

AutumnSkys

wrote on 2017-10-31 14:29:26

I used this strategy except I didn't pass until Basilisk died I was able to get two Bites in. Small damage is better than none, in my opinion.

Breezie wrote on 2017-11-01 18:03:58

Great suggestion Sarth, that worked so much better, thanks

Kasuma wrote on 2017-10-31 01:48:04

I didn't have the other pets mentioned here, I did it with:
Scaled Basilisk Hatchling - 1/2/2
Razormaw Hatchling - 2/2/2
Any lizard - 2/1/1

Basilisk: Feign Death
Lizard: Use Comeback while health is lower, otherwise Quick Attack (I used Comeback 3x, Quick Attack, Comeback, Quick Attack, died).
Bring Basilisk back in: I used Bite, then died, but probably should have had Screech loaded and used that instead.
Razormaw Hatchling: Screech if speed hasn't been reduced already, Exposed Wounds, Flank until dead.

Loncis wrote on 2017-09-28 16:24:57

I don't have Feline Familiar, so what I did was use a Zandalari Kneebiter. I used one more Black Claw with my Anklerender before it was killed, then I opened with Hunting Party with the Kneebiter, then Leap, fight done.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-04 17:33:25

My Scalded Basilisk Hatchling was a grey L15, still worked just fine.

Dubhglas wrote on 2017-09-21 19:00:21

Gray L17 here, same thing.

NathKnave wrote on 2017-09-09 01:18:55

I tried this strategy as written a few times with no success. Feline Familiar could not finish the job and left just a tiny bit of health remaining, then my basilisk would come in and get annihilated by the cannon. I swapped the Zandalari's turn 5 and 6 (Leap then Black Claw). This gave the Leap the Black Claw bonus damage before reapplying Black Claw which was enough damage to have Feline Familiar finish with one hit. Also, Ryuuken's comment to use a P/P Zandalari was helpful.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-20 04:00:36

defiantly second this. worked like a charm.

EyeSage wrote on 2017-09-14 18:21:02

Sarl wrote on 2017-09-05 14:25:44

Any beast. Pass
Moon moon, howl. Moon fangx3. Howl. Moon fang. Moon moon dies.
Warpstalker hatching. Blinkstrikex2

Hi!
Just wanted to let you know that I've tested this and suggested a new approach with complete steps. It combines original strategy with what has been proposed over here.
Indeed the Familiar doesn't manage to survive more than two rounds.

If you need it ASAP I can tell you it right now. It also requires some exotic pets.

Scalded Basilisk Hatchling as original
Vengeful Porcupette (Powerball, Spirit Spikes, Vengeance)
Moon Moon (Moon Fang, Howl, NA)
1. Feign Death – Vengeful Porcupette is brought up
2. Powerball
3. Powerball
4. Spirit Spikes
5. Powerball
6. Vengeance
7+. Powerball until Vengeful Porcupette dies
Bring in SBH
1. Pass (it dies because FD is on cooldown :<)
Bring in Moon Moon
1. Howl
2+. Moon Fang to the end

Roye wrote on 2017-09-09 19:47:23

Had to do this fight twice. Even though I lost the first fight (that 10% proc stinks) I still had to use my Scaled to finish Earseeker off because FF only gets off one bite.

Also, my Anklerender was also only an S/S, so swapped for a P/P Kneebiter. Didn't change that I still had to used Scaled in the second fight, but it did mean less attacks the Scaled needed to use.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-08-30 11:56:56

Used Three Zandalari, followed the strat, first got the black claw down then obliterated, managed to knock a chunk of health, followed it up with third pet, had about half health left

Vaalkyr wrote on 2017-09-03 19:15:10

This worked for me!

Jakebluess wrote on 2017-09-02 15:20:37

The given strategy will not work, Zandalari Anklerender has too much health.

Parched Lizard. Quick attack, lizard dies.

Zandalari Kneebiter. Black Claw, Hunting Party, Leap, Black Claw, dies.

Feline Familiar. Onyx Bite, Onyx Bite, you win.

Damajoa wrote on 2017-09-03 07:01:30

Worked like you said. Thank you!

Argent wrote on 2017-09-03 13:02:19

I chose to do Leap > Leap with my Anklerender (instead of Leap > Black Claw), and the Feline Familiar still finished the fight in two Onyx Bites.

XNedra wrote on 2017-09-03 14:37:43

Awsome! Ty!

Eyedea wrote on 2017-08-29 19:58:27

I started with a Scalded Basilisk Hatchling and used Feign Death to avoid Antaen Cannon. The Zandalari Anklerender will be your highest health pet that gets brought in for round 2.

solitha wrote on 2017-08-29 23:24:55

Thank you, this was the only way I could get through this fight. I also recommend putting the Basilisk back in after the Anklerender dies to soak the next Antaen Cannon, thus giving the Feline Familiar some time. Onyx Bite has a wide range of damage and can fail to win the fight.

Daedrynn wrote on 2017-08-30 00:14:41

Thanks to both of you! Using the Basilisk to soak both of the Cannons was the only way it worked for me. This strat should be adjusted accordingly. There is just too much RNG on the damage from Onyx Bite for it to work reliably the way it is currently written.

Stefania wrote on 2017-08-30 09:26:38

thank you!!!!

Nelaphim wrote on 2017-09-02 03:37:55

Opalite wrote on 2017-08-31 20:47:43

I had time to get a second black claw in with the anklerender. Switched my third pet to Wind Rider Cub and used Flock after Anklerender died.

Pommie Tappet wrote on 2017-08-29 19:04:37

Just a small correction for Turn 1: your Zandalari Anklerender isn't forced in. You get to pick what pet to swap in.

Tsoonami wrote on 2017-08-30 22:46:57

Great suggestion about using a Scalded Basilisk to start. Also, if you don't have a Feline Familiar (I know what I'm doing this Halloween!), you can also use the new pet gathered from the Monk Class Hall, Ban Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu. His Jade Claw works wonderfully after the Anklerender.
