Source
The Teroclaw Hatchling is looted from Teroclaw Nests in Talador found at these locations here.

Most people have said the first nest they looted contained the pet, and can only be looted once per character.

Here is a script to run to check if your character has already looted a nest: /run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(35162))

PvE
The Teroclaw was originally overpowered, with the capability to have both Dodge and Nature's Ward active. In BfA, it was nerfed to make them comp[ete for the same slot.

It is still a prodigious wild Critter-farmer with Claw and Ravage, but the Alpha Strike and Dodge configuration is more common in Tamer strategies.

When farming with Claw and Ravage, you will keep Nature's Ward up at all times, spam Claw (or Alpha Strike against Aquatics) and use Ravage only to kill the opposing pet so you get the heal.

Otherwise, you will use Dodge on cooldown, or time it to avoid a big hit, and mostly spam Alpha Strike otherwise. Since Alpha Strike hits twice while you are faster, the number of rounds you keep your Flying racial speed will usually determine which of the two will do most damage over the battle, but it will more often be Alpha Strike than Claw.

The source is incorrect here, I think? Ikky is picked up via a quest, but the Teroclaw can just be looted from a nest in Talador: https://www.wowhead.com/object=230643/teroclaw-nest

Yes, thatnk you! I'm sure that must have been my brain skipping a track when I was stuffing in basic sources and descriptions.
